Updates

Tracelink became 7 years old in December, and although we don't want to claim to have a handle on life's big questions, we have become much smarter about production. This means that we are constantly adding new functions and smart features.

Here you can read about some of the most important new functions in Tracelink:

Snap of time records

If Tracelink is used for both registration of time for orders and time for salary, some users may get "holes in the cheese"; in other words, they spend a long time going from registering time on one order to registering on another. This creates gaps in today's time recording, which will affect the salary calculation. To avoid this, we introduce snap time:

When you switch from one task to another, Tracelink automatically sets the start time to the time when the time recording on the previous order was completed. Then there are no gaps. Of course, you can then set a time limit for how big holes you want to patch in this way - e.g. that the system must handle breaks of more than 10 minutes as real breaks.

Sharing a Tracelink order between companies

Do you collaborate with a company that also uses Tracelink? In that case, you can now exchange order information and auto-create orders with each other. The function works in such a way that when one of your orders changes status to a given status, it triggers the same order to be created at the company you work with - it can be a sub-supplier - and an SMS message is sent about the order. Order information is sent to the business partner, who can of course send the order back in the same way.

Emails sent from Tracelink

You can now send emails from Tracelink, with your personal email address as the sender. If you use office 365, the mail sent from Tracelink will be in your "sent" folder in your mail client. If the recipient of the email replies, the reply comes into your personal inbox.

Inventory value improved

The value of the stock is important in relation to the accounts. The value is of course continuously adjusted when goods are received and when picking for orders, but as everyone knows, mistakes happen which are only discovered when there is a stock status - typically in connection with the annual accounts. In this connection, it may be necessary not only to regulate the stock, but also to do so with effect from a specific date - this is now possible in Tracelink.

Automatic posting of purchases in e-conomic

If you use Tracelink's purchasing module, you can automatically create supplier invoices in e-conomic. As something new, you can now link several counter accounts to a posting, so that you e.g. can deduct freight from the value placed in storage.

Benchmarking for car painting

"If you can't measure it, you can't improve it" - said by Peter Drucker, who is an international guru in business development. The quote also applies to the automotive industry. The competition is tough in terms of time, quality and finances. That is why we have developed a number of new info boxes in the control panel, which summarize revenue and compare the company's figures against the average for all other industry colleagues who use Tracelink. Use it as an aid to follow up on how good you are at healthy finances in the business - compared to the competitors.

Import of Forsi claim reports

Where until now we have only been able to offer Tracelink for auto painting, we can now import Forsi damage reports that specify work tasks and billing data for claims centers that not only paint, but also fix dents. The report's information is automatically entered into a special tab on the Tracelink order.

Of course, not everything above is relevant to everyone, but contact us if you want to know more about the features.
